Students in grades 7 to 9 were invited to participate in a 3-station workshop for trapping. The first station included the skinning of a beaver, the second station was for crafting snares and learning how to utilize and take care of the snare, and the third station was for learning about species indentification and biology, including tracks, pelts, anatomy, habitat and scat. Special thanks to our Sipekne’katik community, Lands and Foresty staff and the Nova scotia Trapppers Association for these wonderful teachings.
