June 2021 Note…

Once again, we are returning to school to finish the 2020-2021 school year.  It has been a busy few weeks of online learning, but it will be nice to see our students (and staff) again.  Even though I have not been conducting virtual library classes, I have been very busy with my own learning.  I have completed a few courses of online learning.

June will be very busy for everyone, but we will still have to make certain that we are continuing to practice our Covid-19 safety protocols… wearing masks, social distancing, hand sanitizing/hand washing and a great deal of common sense.  With this in mind, I am hoping to re-establish library sessions in the library.  It is so nice when students get an opportunity to choose which books they would like to read.

I hope that everyone does his or her best to end the school year on a positive note.  It has been one crazy and extremely busy year.  I know that I have learned a great deal this year.  I learned that our students are more than capable of following the Covid-19 protocols.  Our teachers are wonderful at adapting to the situations that occur.  Online learning is much more easier for everyone this time around, especially since the students are more comfortable and knowledgeable about utilizing their Chrome books.  I know this first hand because I was offered an opportunity to judge the Heritage Fair projects.  They were all wonderful!!  Well-done students!!!

Finally, I would like to congratulate all of our graduates.  You have worked extremely hard to finish off our education and I will you all the best with your future endeavours.  Enjoy your summer!!!!
