This month in the world of junior high school mathematics, the grade 7 class will be learning about transformations by graphing translations, reflections and rotations on a coordinate grid. The grade 8 class have been learning about the Pythagorean theorem before investigating how to multiply and divide integers. They’ll soon discover that we use integers when we talk about weather, finances, sports, geography and science. The grade 9 class will be learning how to perform multiple operations with positive and negative rational numbers (fractions and decimals).
