Kwe, everyone! Winter is in full swing and I would encourage all students to dress for the weather conditions. Please dress for the weather as there are days that we are outside for recess and lunch.
We have started a novel study called, The One and Only Ivan. The students seem to be enjoying the storyline so far. We also started our Rock & mineral unit in science. We will also be preparing for the Science fair. Students will learn about the Scientific Method. Each student or pairs of students (they have choice) will choose a topic and conduct an experiment and then present their findings. Just a reminder to parents to send in a tri-fold board for the displays. The tentative date for the LSK Science Fair is March 24th.
February is also Black History month and we will be studying the people and their contributions to our society.
