Students in grade primary were working hard to file their pieces of wood. Practice makes perfect and safety first! Everyone was wearing their safety protection glasses.
MK Language Symposium
Our Mi’kmaq Language teachers Greg Marr (6-9) and Elle Michael (K4-5), along with LSK elder Mary Lou Bernard, attended the Mi’kmaq Language Symposium in Kjipuktuk, March 4th-6th, 2025. Additional LSK staff in attendance were Lyn Sack (K4) and Barrett Mason (Principal). Representatives of Sipekne’katik Education committee included Brian Knockwood, De-Anne Sack and Logan Gehue, along with elder Marie Francis.
Trapping Rabbits
Mr. Greg Marr took the students out to set up rabbit snares, and they managed to trap one. Students then received instructions about how to clean and prep the rabbit for cooking.
